Nikon Corporation (Michio Kariya, President) is pleased to announce that the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has placed an order for eleven D3S digital SLR cameras and seven AF-S NIKKOR 14-24mm f/2.8G ED lenses to be used for photographic documentation.

Maybe they should bring ashton kutcher along, he could show us all how easy it is to take pictures out in space and look you don't even need a spacesuit ;>)

Can we just jettison him out of the airlock? I'll even pay for his expenses.

I'm surprised Nikon hasn't used it to their advantage yet- our cameras are so advanced, we even take it out into space!

Lets see your Canon do that!

It's good that Nikon is working in the space w/o any problems - it only means, that the build quality is great.

And it's a good think that NASA's not pissed at Nikon enough to switch, ever since the whole D2XS order thing way back in 2007.

Then again, they might not have much of a choice.

I say we jettison Kutcher into the Canon HQ!

I bet it would cost more if they moved away from Nikon- they'd need to buy lenses again!
