    Hi Everyone

On the Sandisk web site they are showing new ExtremePro ( up to 90MB/s read/write ) and new Extreme ( up to 60MB/s read/write ) compact flash.
    The Extreme SD ( up to 30 MB/s read/write )

What are the write speeds possible in Nikon D300s?

Are there any Dslr that can write more than 30MB/s ?

Rob Galbraith shows fastest speed in D300 is 30.3 MB/s RAW Sandisk Extreme Ducati.
D90 is 20.1 MB/s RAW Sandish Extreme III

So considering this: are the new ExtremePro and Extreme overkill?

Now I know 1 more advantage for D300s compared to D90 is that you can use faster memory card ( compact flash)

I shouldn't think so. If you have a good card reader you'd have much faster importing times.

    Also, we've discussed UDMA6 here.

miatadan - good point with d300s writing speeds, I also come across tests that shows that this camera is not using the full potential of the new sandisk extreme pro cards. and I doubt there is a camera on the market that can utilize 90MB/s, so I assume the only place You will really benefit from this cards is the image to computer transfer
