But I think Dan Havlik says it best here:

Following this same logic though, nobody should complain about their car because there are people that can't afford a car at all. Or nobody should complain about their dinner because there are people that go without in the world. It's all relative.

Edit: So if you're camera gear is subpar relative to the people you're around, you should't feel bad if you complain just because halfway across the world someone is using cow dung as a camera.

I don't complain about my cars because I chose to buy them. I don't complain about my dinner because I'm thankful my wife serves me one every night.

At one point in my life I used a tripod with a duct taped leg and a vivitar 110 camera. I know what subpar camera gear is but I never complained because I still enjoyed taking pictures. For me photography is about the memories and the beauty I capture on film or pixels not how my camera and lenses rank at shooting brick walls.

Great Jonny! All I need to hear now is everyone start Bee-otching about that crap camera shooting at full 1080p and the D3S "only" shooting 720! Perfect!
I think I need to do another Help-portrait to restore my faith in photographers. Sniff Sniff :^(

Yeah right, as if that helps. Last time all you did was bid on a D2X!

??? The photographer told me about it. I didn't say he had it there with him! Besides the reason he was selling it was that he was going back to film because it was more "honest" than digital. He was shooting portraits with an old twin lens reflex camera.

    I'm only kidding!

But yeah, film is more honest than digital. That's why I'm switching :^)

And also of course because KR says so ;^)
