What would you emphasize about Nikon's imaging products if you were on the other side of the sale? What would your roadmap be for the next 10 years or so? What information would you give out or leak?

I'd tell 'em to "SHUT UP ALREADY!" about 1080p and the D700 replacement. You'll get it when we are damn good and ready to announce it!!!

1. 720p is MORE than enough
2. 12mp is MORE than enough
3. Our lenses are better than yours.

Niko, I thought we've been over this. 1080i makes less sense than 1080p, especially if Nikon keeps the motion jpeg codec instead of something like AVCHD. For interlaced video you actually need twice as many captures per second from the sensor.

Ok Jonny, You asked for it buddy. this is a two facetted nikon response to us the customers.
What they say now: We the great Camera maufacturer seek the cool people to advertise our products so we look like we care(insert Ashton Here...LMAO) We make the best products in photograpghy, just check out our Video ad taken by one of our new camera's, hand held even.(Insert - Edited to crap to look good) even you can do it(ROFLAMO) We offer great products and warranties for all of our cameras and lenses and support all of our consumer purchases and warranty repairs(Insert - But first you must jump through hoops to get good service, even professional in our programs can't get it
The way it really is: We make great Cameras and lenses, yes, but we really don't pay any attention to the opinions of the end consumer or Prosumers when they send us information on what they would like to see us make next. Oh we will come out with new cameras, with small advances in an attempt to sell you the next model in hopes we can empty your wallet a bit more. Yes we know there are lenses and cameras that really need upgrades, but we'll get to them in our own sweet time, after all we have you now, look at how much we charge you for our stuff now and you fork out the cash(insert evil laugh here) Canon Who??? So we will keep giving you the minimum, and come out with new lenses and cameras that are a minor improvement, and we will continue to make you sit on the fence and hope we finally make our prices afforable to all.(Insert evil laugh again)We were thinking of taking a poll to see what we will name our new series of camera bodies, but we believe our time trusted way of naming the next Body works so well, but we will have to wait until we get our new Dart Board as our old one was stolen recently during our last office party.
Thank for supporting Nikon we value your purchase, it does make us smile to take your money once again.I doubt that you'll actually hear this from nikon, but the forums seem to speak for them, and this is all through out the forums. Hope it gave someone a laugh. PE
