We had fog last night that coated everything in a layer of frost. It looked like snowflakes had grown off of everything. It's a bad time of year to be a leaf or a rose.

I've got the 60 2.8 AF-D, and I should have put it on to see if I could have gotten anything. I think we have fog again tonight, so maybe tomorrow if we get a repeat performance.

Nice winter photos everyone! Jonny, when do we get to see your pictures with the macro lens?

Pete, I like the warm glow on your picture with the swingset—was the sun setting?

I haven't posted in the PAD for ages! Here's my contribution to the winter shots:

Close to Sunrise, but man was it cold, close to minus 20 C, but the frost was close to an inch thick

That's a really creative shot! I love the bokeh on the stoplight! Which lens did you use?

So glad we don't have frost that thick here, Pete. Nicely set up shot, koga.

It fell off by noon, but it did look great and late at night it was neat to see the moisture in air move by the lights

I found this on a snowdrift riding home from work earlier this year. The lighting is mainly by a sodium vapor streetlamp (hence the color cast).

BTW, hand held at 1/6s with a non-VR lens at 50mm. Sniper breathing and timed in between heartbeats. ;-)
