These are temporary categories until admin decides how to better organize the photoaday. I'm not sure having so many stickies at the top makes things better. However I'll post this since many members have asked for a place to put miscellaneous photos that don't belong with the others listed so far.

nice capture Niko - is this multiexposure or just a long exposure?

Can one of you mods move my post from the people forum to here?
Also, I'm not a fan of the segmented PAD forums. I liked all of us being in one place. Of course I like looking at different types of pictures.
EDIT: Moved from the people photoaday as requested Willis :^)
Ok, so I'm not exactly sure where to post this now that we've segmented the photo a day thread, but I snapped this outside the Dog & Duck pub here in Austin.
I'm posting it here because 1. I think its hilarious & 2. Presumeably the guy who drives this thing would make for a good people shot. One of the things I hate about iPhone photography is that it's very hard to get precise framing... once you get things how you want you have to hit the on-screen button, which always moves my shot slightly.
No big deal except you don't really have any pixels to work with for cropping.

Thanks adamz! It was a long exposure. ISO 200, F/16 at 2 or 3 seconds if I remember correctly.

Where was this taken at Skid? SCCA event? That kinda looks like a Sunbeam?
Posted 3 years ago # -
It was. It was taken at a new track in Colorado this past summer. I'm not 100% sure but I think the car is MG.

Yeah it looks like one or the other. They are very small cars. Fun to drive around the track that's for sure!

They are fun. I raced a Datsun 510 for a few years in the SCCA. This was one of the 1st photos I took with my D70S once I learned how to get it off the Auto setting. I like it, but it's no where near the level some of the photos are on here. Thought I'd share it with them though.

All levels of photography are welcomed here Skid :^)
I got to take an SCCA formula continental around for a few laps once! I'm still smiling about it all these years later!Posted 3 years ago # -
Those are a blast to drive...until you touch wheels. I'll stick to fendered cars to race. LOL

Yeah or you get "pushed" off line!

I don't know why aprille, but I see a little elf with a hat laying on his side in the upper right corner. You can even see the little fingers of his hand! Kinda scary! lol ;^)

Willis, I would love to meet the owner of that car. It reminds me of the buses down in South America.
Skid, I feel like I'm in a car behind that guy getting ready to start the race. Great perspective.
Aprille, maybe you were going for grey, but I think I'd like it better brighter.
Niko, I love that first one, but please stop drinking. What is that second one? Okay, I admit I like it whatever it is.
Phil, that mic one would be a fun candidate for the film grain effects in the LR3 beta. I love it.
Whatever holiday you celebrate, I hope everyone has a good one.
