Adam,, Gentoo, mb, ShadeofBlue........very nice.....I have had my Sigma 150-500 FOR 8 days now ,and have yet to try a shot. Too cold...too rainy......too windy...too dark!!
I will never be a true wildlife photog!.....crawling through the mud on a cold windy freezing day...is not an option for me ;)
I have more cool shots of this same hummingbird. But for now:

This Anna's Hummingbird was hiding from the territorial male nearby.
I think the birds are stuffed, glued to the branch or something.
But whatever the trick they sure look great

Gentoo, seriously, your love of these creatures shines through.
Here is a brightly colored little feathered friend. The detail in the full size picture really surprised me, especially around the feathers and the eye.
Gentoo, i don't know why, but the "portrait one" i really like, ill actually try to see if i can catch one like this sometime,and i hope i get one sorta like it, but you really nailed it.

mb, nice gull. I think it's a Black-Headed.
PBrigido, nice lorikeet. Not sure of the species as I can only see the head. Perhaps a rainbow but not sure.
