I’m currently developing a business plan for a new camera bag manufacturing company. I’d be interested in your thoughts on style, construction, functionality, price expectations and features. Any information would be helpful.
Also, does anyone know where I can find market data on the global sales of camera bags by brand?
Thanks.

In my opinion, the ideal bag must look like anything but a camera bag. I'm sure you will design several types and sizes, but for my own equipment it would need to hold something like two bodies, a tele lens or tele zoom (70-200), a mid range zoo (16-85), and a wide angle (10-24), plus a TC 1,4, and accessories like spare batteries, cords, spare cards, etc… AND a 15" laptop. All this on wheels with the mechanism outside the bag, on the sides, and it must also turn into an occasional back pack for short distances. And of course, it must be strong and durable (See what Lowepro do). As for the price, around $ 200.00 would be nice… Am I dreaming ?… :o)
