Aaaaaaaaaaargh ! Where did you get that one ???? It's a beauty !!! Is it a Sharan ?
By the way, my wife came back from Japan yesterday with some Glico caramels but without any Nikon. Instead, the box included some funny figures which are just toys for young kids. She enquired about the Nikon model, but no one was aware of this. Being 2 years old, this offer, in Japan, is like 100 years in USA or Europe ! These things come out fast and vanish the same way. You have to be there in the right place at the right time. A bit like picture taking actually ! :o)
What one can find these days are a few Sharan models of the Leica I or III, Contax, Nikon, Pentax, Rolleyflex, and their accessories. I have a couple of Leica (One of which is actually a digital camera with 2Mpx !), and the Rolleyflex, but they are very expensive at 30,000 Yens. The Rolleyflex leather bag was almost as expensive if I remember well, but it's perfect !
If anyone has one - or more - of these sub-miniature cameras for sale, I will seriously consider buying them. I got a nice "Stekky" camera in mint condition, with interchangeable lens last month for 30 euros. A really god bargain !
Just checked Ebay. There are still a few Glico for sale. I have asked Santa… :o)

I got mine on ebay, totally your fault Bernard. But they are so neat, my Son have already brought the camera to School for show and tell
The Detail of this camera is amassing for something placed inside with some candy, on top of that it came from Japan wrapped in Japanese newspaper. Hope your wife gets on from Ebay for you.
Pete
Waouw ! I'm glad you got it ! You need a nice little glass case to display it now. They make some nice ones for plastic models of planes, cars, or boats.
I hope Santa thinks I've been a good boy this year…:o)
Is there a mini FM2 as well? I wouldn't mind getting one.
I'm afraid that's the only one they produced unfortunately, but do a search for the Sharan's web site. You might be liucky…
Here are two addresses you may want to check:
Holy crap!
Almost $300 for one?
Never mind...
I thought it was smaller than that too. Didn't know it was 1/3 scale.
Yes but you should see and touch one ! Especially the Rolleiflex ! It's a piece of jewelry ! And they can only go up in value, better than any other investment. :o)
If you keep monitoring ebay you might get a good bargain some day :o)
So does the shutter release work? Aperture dial? Shutter speed dial?
If they don't all work, I'm not buying it.
Jeez, I'm only a poor college student with a D40. :D

Difficult to find and process minox spy film anyway
If you don't fear from heart attack, visit the Minox web site at http://www.payworxx.de/minox/index.php
Look at the cameras, not the prices… :o)
This is where all the Sharan production has gone to. No wonder you can't find any in Japan these days !
Santa came early, this morning in fact, and brought my tiny Nikon (Less caramels). It cale the same way you received it bmxdad: Very well packed in some Japanese newspaper page. It includes the body, the prism, two lenses, and the little lens brush. It is soooo cute !

Do you have the same in full size, I hope to find the same in full size next year, enjoy yours, is it not amassing that they actually gave out these for free with some candy, sure beats anything my son has ever found in his kinder surprises
Pete
No, I do have a Nikon F2 Photomic and a Nikomat but not an F. It's a good idea to get the same full size one and display them together in a glass case. An F should come rather cheap on a flea-market, even if it's got a few scratches which can be repaired quite easily.
Yep ! I've never seen such high quality in give away toys, even Kinder. And it's a lot smaller than I thought too, which makes it even more cute. If I can, i might get the silver one and flash one of these days… :o)
Can you post a picture bernard?
It's a bit late now (Yawn… :o), nearly 10PM. I will take a picture tomorrow and send it to you via email. I'm still trying to find out how to post a picture… :o(
Posting these pictures up for Bernard.

I love that Steky III

Thanks Niko !
Yes ! That Steky is a beauty. If anyone comes across the tele lens for it (Yes, the lens is interchangeable !), please send me an email. Or any other subminiature you may find for a good price. I'm always looking for these cute little cameras.
One of these days I will take a picture of my collection and post it. Please be patient because I have a zillion things to do first :o)
Haha, I have yet to find a camera that makes the D40 (?) look massive. It kinda looks like someone placed a D3 next to a D40. :D
Nice purchase. :D
Anytime Bernard :^)
Does your Steky still work? I've heard that some Steky cameras have "Made In Occupied Japan" stamped on them. They are rare and worth more than "regular" Steky cameras. Is yours one of these?
Wow I was just looking on Ebay and mint full size Nikon F black camera in mint shape are selling for $1000+
Anyway Bernard, Yours looks just like mine with the extra lens and duster
Pete
I tried bidding on a beautiful (at least in the sellers pics it was beautiful) black F. I was winning and then some "athol" outbid me at the last second!:^(
