Here's a 100% crop of the central flower that I've been seeing strange things reflected in: Skeletor, a pseudo-cubist face in profile(?), Sauron's helmet, ...
I'll have some of what you are smokin' Jonny....
Great picures everybody.

Thanks squamish, I think it's safe to say that you can expect some more portraits shot wide open in the near future. First I'll have to force you to look at a bunch more of my daughter though, since I need time before I can shoot other things (usually only happens in the weekends).
Such nice photos i am almost embarrassed to post... but, here is an old school house...
D4, 16-35mm f/4 VR Nikkor at 35mm, 1/250 sec f/8.0, ISO 100

Nice one Avadhesh.
Rschnaibl, good to have you back, looking forward to your holiday pics.
The goose flew by just after sunrise. Shot a burst of 20 over photos, this is the only one usable, because she came right out of the sun
I like this light effect though
Jürgen
@regulator: love the motion of the canadians against the mountain range
@vinopaul: I think your bright flowers are fantastic
@carelli: been there and you captured it beautifully
@yeti: thx
and one could go on and on...all very nice.
Nikon D7000 VR 55-300 f/4.5-5.6 ISO 200 1/400s-F/8
Shot from a short walk in Bangor, Maine - there is a park on the north edge of the city, and just over the border in Orono there is a peat bog.
D7000 - AF-S 24mm f/1.4G - f/8 - ISO 100 - 1/250sec
I had some initial thoughts, which I will withhold... Maybe the edge of the mirror out of your Dxxx? that gave up the ghost and you disassembled? Or the a piece of Lexan? And the light source.... ray of sun through a slit.... or LED?
Page 8 flew by and was amazing - all commendable photos. Eric even found Nemo.

D800, Zeiss 100mm Makro-Planar T*ZF.2, f/4.0 ; 1/200sec, - 1/3 EV, ISO 50
@Beso: Very lovely scenery. Was it taken on hike?
@benji2505: Great colors. Well timed.
@Eric: Exceptional shot...we all like Nemo :P
@Rx4Photo: Very sexy. Might I ask buddy: Is she single?
When you post things from the Bitterroot I find myself humming John Denver's Wild Montana Skies, Yeti. Very nice.
Nostalgic and feels a bit anachronistic with the furniture, msmoto.
Looks like you'll put that lens to good use, Rifqi.
Well, Jonnyapple, I was just listening to Wild Montana Skies and thinking how I could use that song with some timelapse videos I have been experimenting with! Thanks for looking.
@golf007sd, Thanks! Yes the photograph was taken on a drive 'n' hike adventure in Silver Falls State Park, Oregon. There are 10 main waterfalls in the 9,000 acre park with over 25 miles of trails. The falls in the picture is South Falls with a drop of 177 feet. Today I am recovering!
Page nine is outstanding :)
My share for today, a shot from the Alabama Hills in Eastern California
D7000
Nikkor 10-24mm at 24mm
1/80
f/9
ISO 100
Bracketed 3 shots EV 1.0
Rschnaible, very nice use of HDR processing techniques, as well as composition.
My post tomorrow is going to be in the wee hours of the early morning, on account of me working a 12-hour day in the field and eager to share one of my B&W prints from class, "scanned" with my D800 and Tokina 100mm macro. Hope the powers that be are understanding.

Just 25 miles of trails for 9000 acres? Dang, there must be many hidden opportunities there.
