And, about some of the previous posts...some very beautiful work, but, Rx4Photo, the B & W is so well done, almost brought tears to my eyes...a true "retro" photo... I do love the truck stop and the F1 shot...just nice candid stuff.

Decided to spend my birthday Sunday going for a hike in a region called the Boseong Tea Fields. This is the Cedar Path leading to it.

Seems ominous and obvious - Vesuvius seem through an opening in Pompeii.

@ yeti- would love to visit SA, one day maybe.

@ golf - I use ND filters on occasion, I have Hitech ND 6 and 10 stop and have Lee ND grads. I think I used a 6 stop on the above shot. When shooting into the sun I prefer to use luminosity masks and image blend rather than use grads.
Nice water blur on your image btw.

Been out for a couple of weeks and had a chance to take a look at the PAD posts, really a wonderful October already. September was memorable but October looks like it is going to give last month a run for the money.

Back from an excellent weekend across Pennsylvania and Delaware. Here's a shot from much later on the day of the prior shot, after driving four hundred miles and stopping for a while in New Hampshire at a Subaru dealership for surprisingly inexpensive and immensely helpful repair of a stuck throttle cable on my friend's car. If you knew the guy in this shot, you'd understand completely. He eats everything!

@ontheropes: this is one beautifully composed (and executed) shot

Haven't been around for a while since I haven't had many opportunities to shoot but now I have a set of new portraits of my daughter that I'll pester you with for a few days. These are the first shots taken with my new 85mm f1.8 G. I finally have a proper portrait lens, yay.

    kanuck, very nice location.
