    Nice, Benji.

Ben, I'd make the moon smaller. It looks unnaturally large given the surrounding image. That way you could have it surrounded by the glow from the long exposure, too (maybe decrease the brightness a bit until they match more closely?). I'm not going to claim it's perfect, but here's a similar shot but with both exposures at the same focal length.

Tawhai Falls, Tongariro National Park, New Zealand.

This was a rescue job from a bad exposure with my D3100. Some work in Lightroom has balanced the exposure back to where it should of been in the beginning, particularly with what was a blown out sky. Focus too isn't great but that is less evident at 800px tall, so I can get away with that here. I like it because it's a shot I had scapped prior to Lightroom.

I'd like to go back with my ND's one day. This whole area is quite amazing.

Great photos everyone. Love seeing the Autumn colors being as nothing ever changes here in south Florida. My wife and I went to Vermont in October 9 years ago and that was the last time I was in the midst of those colors.
Congrats Coastalconn, your tenacity paid off!! Keep it up.

Thanks everyone for all the kind words! Another great day of pics! RX, Your photo makes me think the building was designed for drunk people, if you can't remember the number maybe you can remember the color :)

This bird addiction is downright crazy. Maybe someday I will be able to afford a big fancy lens with VR. But for now I'm getting about 2 or 3 stops of VR in my hands. Here's a Catbird from yesterday morning at 1/100th handheld at 500mm. As always my trusty D300 and Tamron 200-500 F8 ISO 800

Hooray, internet at home is not working. Old folk dance shot - I don't usually do anything quite this crazy, but frequently close...

Postman and others, thanks for the comments.
Coastal, in this age, I think we can all do well if we set that as a goal. You have done very well indeed.

costalcon: Great handholding. That level of sharpness at 500mm and 1/100 second shutter speed is amazing skill.

I may have posted this one before, but if I have, I've removed the source image so here it is again.

El_Pick i always like the mood in your dancing photos. Those folks are really focussed on each other, they seem to forget the world around them.

I love them all. If I had any money I'd pay to buy prints of RX4Photo's doors and Msmoto's rail.

@ Wataru..on most of the photos from Flickr, one can download the large file, then order prints online. I get my prints from York Photo, but I am certain there are many other good suppliers available who are not expensive yet deliver good quality prints.

I kinda like Juergens duck, the big splash from benji2505, Postman's landscape, El-Pick's dance shot, and...oh, heck, all the rest above those.

With your permission, I'll download the large file and print it here in my lab. It will look great on the wall with my train photos.

And yes, these are all great this month. I get my visual thrills reviewing PAD every morning.
