I know it's hardly a Nikon... and certainly far from the quality that is posting here...but the IPhone came to the rescue this morning. Very soft. I just wanted to share.

My share... When my wife and I went out this evening she commented on the fact that the geologic formations looked like a place where there would be "cowboys and indians"...

Bob, really like this landscape. I am sure the Indians watched you and you did not realize it.

Here is One I have posted last month already, but I redid the PP and the subjects on the right came out better.

Shot in the Pisac Market, Peru. The lighting is unchanged out of camera, but I did add a little structure to her face to accentuate the lines.

Always great photos to view, I really love the portraits I see, and the great models used, I wish I could do that. Also, my fellow Osprey lover creating one great image after anothe, I'm still waiting for his models to fly south to my waiting lens.

Taken at Magnolia Gardens, SC, they are berries of some kind, but remind me of little Jersey tomatoes.
I'm heading to Europe tomorrow for a vacation celebrating my recent retirement, and will be missing this for 2 weeks, Hope to find some good subjects there.

Great images everyone, I am just getting around to editing from my vacation in September and this brought down my blood pressure so I thought I would share.

@ OnTheRopes...OK, Steve, what are the facts...camera, lens, etc...? Thanks...an absolutely stunning photo.....

Thank you for all the kind comments on my Lands End image.
One or two asked similar question to msmoto so....

    It was a D800, 24-70 @ 52mm, f14,ISO100, Circ polariser and 6 stop ND for 13 seconds
I have cropped a little sky off, minor tweaks in LR and a little sharpening in my newly acquired CS6 using a technique with alpha channels, find edges and curves. Though pretty much as shot really.

@OTR and a fantastic shot it is too.

@rschnaible I also really like your shot, it reminds me of where Walt and Jesse cook their first batch in the RV (Breaking Bad).

Great photos everyone! Once I get non-lazy and try to fix something in one of my photos I'll post it.

Lots of wonderful posts.... I appreciate all the kind comments here and on my photostream. Here is my contribution for today. Kanuck3 helped me ID the Cactus...
A side note, the wife kept asking me to touch it (I did not since I did not need to prove my manhood as we have been married 25+ years now :))

    Another great day everyone.

Well this is the first time I have seen a Merlin. This one is a Taiga Merlin nd I managed to capture it in flight. I was proud of myself they apparently fly at 50-60 MPH and this one was hauling A&^... Love the AF system in the D300!

rensuchan, that's only true most of the time :p

El_Pickerel, we've pretty much given up on keeping the living room tidy. The floor is now mostly used as a storage area for her toys.

Here she's doing her best sleeping Buddha impression.

@ Rifqi, your budget white background and strobist technique rivals many expensive professional photos I've seen. Add the too cute subject and you've got a winning combination. Excellent work.
