I wouldn't give up a Nikon body for any other brand... the controls on Nikons are intuitive and they just get out of your way, unlike the controls on Canons, which, I think, are absolutely atrocious.

Wow that 100mm by 100mm sensor would need a 4 by 5 field camera to be used and Bill Gates to help you paying for it

Nah Ricoh went a bit too far out of the box for my taste and there is too much in that interchangeable lens module.
I just want to have a interchangeable lens mount with which to obtain full or majority of functionality on lenses with different mounts.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I read a review of the Ricoh GX100 a couple of years ago that made me want one, but I never got one (I was saving up for a D200 at the time, which turned into a D300 by the time I could afford it, thank heaven). Sorry I couldn't help your portfolio. Maybe next time.

nikon definitely

i've played with the new sony a550 and it's soooooooo slow - the AF, maybe a900 is faster,
canon - no, maybe I'm not used to it's menu, but it takes too much time to navigate form one place to another, too much thinking to just take one picture
olympus - too small sensor, although need to check the new ep2 - if the AF will work right, than maybe I'll get it as a take-on-the-walk camera
panasonic - too expensive
leica - well, M9 with nikon F mount - dreams :) - but seriously I would love to have this camera with the 0.95 lens, or rather this lens in a nikon F mount, would be a dream lens for d3s
rest - ??? are any other companies left, not serious one

Well fine... If your going to rigorously enforce the rules of your hypothetical thread, I suppose I'd like one of the M4/3 cameras with a F-Mount. :)

Mostly, I just want my gear to be smaller.

An F Mount on my iPhone... I'd go for that. I wonder if they could hack the focus ring to also scroll through my contacts...

Here one for you, but I don't think things are looking good for the Iphone F mount though

If you could buy any Brand of DSLR with a Nikon dedicated lens mount, which one?

Good question. Perhaps the new Canon 7D. I like the feel of that one. I played with one at Bestbuy and it has a nice D300 feel to it. If I could get that in a Nikon lens mount that would be cool.
