Hass-Mass is using technology similar to one used in sensor cleaning piezo motors built in most new Nikon cameras so I suppose multi-shot can be implemented also.

(Not to be pedantic, but) a better analogy (than to sensor cleaning motors) is to the motors used for in-camera vibration reduction. You need precise (and accurate!) sensor motion control not likely to be implemented in a cleaner's "shaker" system.

Perhaps as a pro who works for a magazine feels the pressure to purchase and use what is widely considered the industry leader (Hasselblad) therefore, they purchase one without any consideration towards a D3X or even a Eos1 Mark III. I'm sure a lot of professionals are still using Hasselblad film cameras. I see a lot of them for sale in my camera district for excellenet prices $800-$2200 USD.

With this DxO chart in mind, where do you think the D3s would slide in? With its otherworldly high ISO range its probably going to give the D700 the boot at #5.

Pete, yes the D300 sure is a great camera especially for weddings. I love mine its all I use right now. However, I've been itching to trade it in for the D700, and this itch has been getting worse lately. I have the glass all ready to.

Hass-Mass is using technology similar to one used in sensor cleaning piezo motors built in most new Nikon cameras so I suppose multi-shot can be implemented also. The only thing is I suspect Hass is using electronic shutter available in CCD sensors. Advantage is there is no Bayer interpolation drawbacks and true (not bigger) image resolution.
By the way some professionals are still using old Hasselblad film cameras; some are using them with Nikon gear though, scanners actually, to get around 85Mpix images with better dynamic range and without Bayer array drawbacks so go figure.

Yes the D3X must be one amazing camera to blow away all three of the Hasseys! 3 of the top 5 are Nikon cameras and remember this is based on color depth, dynamic range and low light iso! Talk about quality for your buck.

Unless you had more money than you knew how to spend, I don't know why you'd want a hasselblad. You could get such an amazing Nikon kit for the price of even one of the Hassy backs it's almost mind-blowing.

Hey Pete it's 11:30pm Korean time now. I always post when others are in bed I'm sure haha Yes the D3X must be one amazing camera to blow away all three of the Hasseys! 3 of the top 5 are Nikon cameras and remember this is based on color depth, dynamic range and low light iso! Talk about quality for your buck. The D3s is not even rated yet, but I'm sure it will crack the top 10 as well maybe even top 5. Gotta love Nikon.

By the way NikoDoby beautiful moon shot or is that the new Nikon Digital Camera watch I've been hearing about on the rumors page (>_<) It looks like its telling me to go to bed now..

Or just getting out of bed in the morning, do you miss Vancouver with all the rain they had lately, but they did get lots of show in Whistler also

Yes Nikon makes great gear, one of my co-workers that works part-time in our printing Lab and also shots weddings, family pics part-time just moved over to Nikon after I had showed her my D300, she typical got a Canon for Family pics, then someone gave her an Olympus DSLR, just basic stuff, then she started to get noticed for her ability to shot great pictures, and she wanted to upgrade, she had printed some of my pictures and asked me what I was using. Anyway got the D300 a few lenses, SB900 flash, and after learning how to get the most out of her new camera, absolutely love the camera. Her other stuff is getting sold and she is getting another body for her back-up

Pete, why would you want this feature? I saw it in action, and it is slow. Really slow! Hasselblad is physically moving the sensor just one pixel to capture each color channel at each pixel site. That took quite some time believe or not since the movement has to be so precise. The only type of shooting this feature could be for is in studio still life.

Hasselblad is having huge problems competing against Phase One, and since they closed their system off to third party backs, this has hurt them even more as most photographers who buy medium format want their options open to them. Besides, since Christian Poulsen was let go today from Hasselblad, I truly wonder how long their going to last.

I honestly don't know if I wanted and it would properly be to expensive to implement

From what I've heard of it it's mostly all software based so I suppose it's possible, but it's just so dang slow it seems counter productive to me. Even for a Hassey.
