That has to hurt, I'm very sorry to hear it.

I live on the island if I know of anything I'll let you know. There is a camera store in Palma called foto Ruano (www.fotoruano.es), that specializes in pro photo equipment, probably the only one on the island. I don't know if the thieves know anything about cameras, but there is a far-fetched possibility that they might try to unload your equipment there (I'm pretty sure they wouldn't buy it, though). Maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to send them a message so that they are on the lookout for anyone trying to sell your stuff.

Cheers and good luck.

Sorry to hear about you loss Oscar, while you were sleeping too....wow that must have been very frightening. Do you have a record of the serial numbers somewhere? I would imagine you would have registered the equipment with Nikon after purchase? My first duty would be to contact all the camera stores within a certain distance from your location, and also see if anything has shown up on CCTV. I know you would expect the police to do this, but my nature is to take a more proactive approach.

Good luck.

Hi
Sorry for this bad post being my first here. I've been to this great site many many times, Thanks for it!

I'm currently in Mallorca, Cala Bona, and this night (between 11 and 12 Sep) someone broke in to the appartment and stole my computer, iPad, wallet and camera equipment while me and my girlfriend were sleeping.

What's been taken is the following:
D700 + MB-D10
24-70 f/2.8
70-200 f/2.8 VRII
SB700

and some other stuff (Memory cards, Black Rapid and so on).

If someone from Spain or even Mallorca sees this PLEASE help me get it back if you find anything on the black market.

Both Nikon and Guarda Civil have been notified.

Cheers!
Oscar
