That is true. My Canon AE-1 has the silver metal top and bottom and black leather like middle. It is a very awesome looking camera and if retro is the idea, it could be a neat color scheme. By the A-1 Canon had gone all black as did Nikon I think.

The FM2 finished in silver and black is quite handsome actually.
