Earlier this year I was close to buying on, but I think I will try to get a smaller Nikon body, Maybe a F80 or 100 they are close to current Nikon DSLR in how they are operated, That F5 is a huge monster of a camera

I looked into the D1x: http://a.img-dpreview.com/news/0102/nikon/d1x-big.jpg

D1x: the slash is there, but only 2 labels above it. The "rumored" camera has 3 labels above the slash.

Interesting. It's definitely not a D2 series camera. The grip and command wheel look like a D1.

I say it's just a D1X. The little white slash on the vertical shutter button is just like on a D1X.

My first response was that this camera is the Nikon D1 or D2: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nikon_D1X#D1H_and_D1

Then the reader came back to me saying that the D1, D2 and D3 only have two buttons above the shutter release. This camera has three.

Here is a picture of the D1: http://www.intuit.ru/department/publish/digitalcameras/11/11-4.jpg - you can clearly see two buttons above the shutter release.
