Yeah, I would agree Pete. Looks like it may be time to set aside my 50 1.4 and reattach my 105mm 2.8. Time to play.

Thanks Pete! : )

Macro shots are hard to do, but I would also say that you would need to close down your lens to get the more DOF

The rest are great,

Thanks Niko!

You know, I was hoping someone would say that. That was my impression also, but I needed an unbiased opinion to confirm it. I have always liked photos with a shallow DOF, but as I continued to shoot, I began to realize that DOF can be easily over done.

Your honesty is very much appreciated! :)

You have a lovely family there PBrigido. Your little girl is so cute.

You've got some nice photos (I love the Miss Piggy scarecrow, funny) with very bright colors. The only thing I noticed was that your macro subjects have very shallow DOF. Usually you want to have more of your macro shots to be in focus.

Hey there guys. After looking at all of the wonderful photos that many of you have posted, I can't help but want to further my abilities in the wide world of photography. If anyone has any interest, check out my photostream at flick.com and let me know what you think. I'm not fishing for compliments, but mainly ideas, criticism, and any random elements I can add to my abilities to help me become a better photographer.

So if anyone feels bored enough, here is the link.
