Just visiting the Lone Star Flight Museum and NASA (I am with friends who have never been there). I like the LSFM. They have some very special planes like the Grumann F-3F.

Unfortunately I cannot stay for the Wings Over Houston air show. I have other commitments in Paris next week. The CAF B-17 "Texas Raiders" should be ready for that, after several years of restoration. Definitely a Must See ! :o)

Are you sticking around for Wings Over Houston? Or are you just killing time at the Lone Star Flight Museum?

I find it pricey too and I don't think I would buy it since the Nikon system works so well. I have seen ionizers that one can make with a kitchen gas lighter which, with a little bit of work, do the same thing :o)

The trip to Midland went fine except that the sunday air show was cancelled due to rain and fog... Aaaaaaargh ! Fortunately the saturday show was OK :o) I'll wait until I go home to check my pictures properly rather than check them on my MacBook Pro.

I did not have time to check the Midland/Odessa camera shops unfortunately, but I'm now in the Houston/Galveston area until saturday and I have already checked some local camera shops. Very interesting indeed, especially with the Euro being so ridiculously strong these days !... However, I would not buy any major equipment due to guarantee problems, should anything wrong happen. Accessories are the best value, like filters, camera bags, memory cards, etc...

Last but not least: The weather is beautiful here and I'm enjoying every bit of it :o)

Seems a bit pricey. I've never seen one much less used it but I can't say I'd spend that much money for it.

How was your trip to Midland? Did you get to checkout the local camera store?

I'd like to know if any of you guys has tried the Firefly cleaner and what the results were... Personally I use, as a last resource after using air, the Reidl and Eclipse which work fine, but over a year of use of my D300 and D60, I only had to do tghis once on my D60.

With the Firefly, I wonder where the dirt particlesz go after they have been removed from the sensor... And, of course, the price tag of almost $ 200.00 (and more in Europe) makes me think twice before purchasing such an equipment :o)
