I have a question about the forum rules. I work at a dealer and we have D800 and D4 in stock. I see threads where people are saying they are still waiting months to get orders from the big websites. I just want to let people know hey, we have this impossible-to-find item, but I don't wanna get banned for violating forum rules. So in the case of things that people are looking for, which are hard to find (like D4, D800, etc.), would the admins of this forum mind if people like me post and let people know that we have it?

It's hard for independently-owned local shops to get the info out there, and forums like these would seem a natural place. I mean, it doesn't seem to be any more "advertising" to post that something is in stock at Amazon (or B&H etc.), than for me to post that my work has it. For example if someone posts "D4 in stock at Amazon," that's free advertising for Amazon, regardless of whether that forum member works for Amazon or not. Heck, Amazon owns one of the major forums (like dpreview).

A lot of small dealer employees resort to stealth posting, acting like they don't actually work there to avoid seeming like they are advertising and thus breaking the rules. So I mean why should it matter if people just be honest instead?

I'm not asking to be able to put up ad posts, just to be able to help people who are looking for items that are in super high demand. It would really be cool if there was a sub-forum for independent type dealers to post stock notices or such, since I mean, it would only serve to help people get things like D4's and D800's faster rather than waiting millions of years on a mile-long wait list.
