I have a Manfrotto 694cx that I use with a pistol grip for still shots. It is a great monopod and easy to work with once you spend a day with it, it becomes part of your equipment. I really like the pistol grip but am not sure how it would work with a video. I simply do not use the video option at all.... If you are looking for something to steady your still shots, I would highly recommend the set up I put together.

This past weekend, while no the job, I came across a wedding shoot and noticed this monopod being used. I must admit, if I did not have my Gitzo monopod & RRS head, this bad boy would be the one to get....specially if you use your DSLR to shoot a lot of videos.
