First, this battery recall is old news, was issued a month or so ago. There was a topic started about this some time ago, so i suspect this thread will be closed soon.

I still live in Vancouver, but don't send me your batteries. If I had some batteries to replace (I don't since my camera uses EN-EL3e) I would just take them into the local Nikon service centre, rather than mailing them.

Two things spring to mind:
Firstly, do you need to have bought your battery from a Canadian seller, or if owners from other countries return their batteries, will they receive a replacement? ***Just re-reading the info, looks as if as they are sending UPS to collect, it'll only be available to Canadian residents. I've got a cunning plan.........everyone send their affected batteries to Robert (PBPM) if he's still living in Vancouver, and he can just casually say he has 94 affected units :-) LOL! ***

Secondly, always trying to see the good in any situation, this sounds like it might be great news for owners of effected batteries that have seen some hard use, and were due for replacement? At £100 a pop, I wish Nikon would swap my old batteries for new ones!
