i would agree with everyone else i use the sandisk extreme pro's and never had an issue with them ever, ive used cheaper brands many moons ago and well you get what you pay for :) ie: the fail! i have heard good things about lexar but i have no experience with their cards so cant comment but a few collegues use them and rate them quite high, Ive stuck with sandisk simply because they have never let me down.

Pay more for the better card. That way you won't ever be sorry. Losing pictures is not good and doing so to save $40 stinks. Especially depending on which body you have that you just spend $$$ on. When you decide remember that once you lose the pictures you can't get them back. If you need the space I would get 2 - 32GB cards over a single 64 for the reasons listed above. If one fails you don't lose everything, but you want to have enough space for a day of shooting or whatever. Plus you always have a backup if one stops working while shooting...a camera with no memory card = paper weight.

You don't have to fill the card up . it just nice to the extra capacity for those rare occasions, when you are already up to your neck "in muck and bullets" when the action starts

Yes that's a fair comment, but if you're paying a sizeable premium for a high capacity fast card, it's a bit of a waste not to use it. I find I can shoot a wedding all day with a 16GB card in slot A handling the jpegs, and a 32GB one in slot B taking the RAW and video files. When I bought them 2 years ago (SanDisk Extreme Pro 90MB/s CF) there was over £150 difference in the price, in fact 2 of each cost me nearly £1000!! I must have been mad :-)

I would go with a 16GB card and increase the speed to 90MB/sec or faster. I think for video the 16GB Capacity90MB/sec (600x) Speed, UDMA-6 Compliant, would be best as without the faster speed, videos may stop recording. This could be a factor when shooting high FPS as well, although this is only my suspicion. This is what they call it, I believe. SanDisk 16GB Extreme Pro CompactFlash Card. And if a long video is what you want, go for the 32GB card.

I would add a caution, do not purchase an inexpensive memory card for your Pro camera body. Reading the threads

SanDisk also, but although you're right sevencrossing, I personally find myself closer to spraynpray's reasoning. I don't think I'd be happy to have 64GB of work in one place. Just my personal opinion though, never had ..........no I won't say it!

sandisk SD Ultra 64gb

imho changing cards mid shoot is not a good idea, so if you shoot a lot of pic in one session get 64 gb

+1 Sandisk.

64Gb is too many images in one place IMHO, even if they are .nefs and on a D800.
