400mm F4 Why you guys at Nikon don't have this is a bit bewildering as Canon has a nice one (actually theirs is 5.6 so an F4 would bury them). It's one reason wildlife shooters have gone with Canon in the past. Most love Nikon but we need more choices on lenses.

-- Ditto on the AF-S primes. I want more wide-angle primes but give us what you can.

-- Give us the best of both worlds on IS. Give us a body with sensor-shift image stabilization. Seems like a simple switch can turn this "backup" in-body image stabilization on or off, depending on which lens you have mounted.

-- I'm not a big live-view fan, but pair that with a variable-angle LCD and you have something useful.

-- Stop the megapixel wars in the DX format, and focus on image quality and high ISO performance.

-- Don't get caught up in marketing gimmicks. i.e. Don't put in a "high def" video mode if it's crippled by a slow frame rate.

I was pretty much going to write this exact same thing, but knipser said it already:

Please build more fast AF-S primes. Nearly the whole prime range is more than 10 years old, has no AF-S. I would like to see a Canon's competitor AF-S 135/2 (razorsharp). Or a AF-S 85/1.8 or 1.4, AF-S 24/1.8 and a AF-S 17/2,8 pancake. All for FX, please.

Dear Nikky, Please start creating a F2.0 or even an F2.5 Pro line of Lenses for DX. Start with 16-85(actually, I would be happy with a 16-50 F2.0), 50-150 and 60mm F2 macro (oh Tamron beat you to that already? nevermind just play catch up and do it better!)

Pleeeeeeeease tell ALL your Nikon dealers to cut their prices on the D300 on your press conference on April 14th. that would be soooooo nice of you! And hey, put it this way, the less i spend on the body, the more i can spend on accessories. just a thought.

Nikon, please fix the firmware. There are several feature that are "free" with a firmware fix. Example - Add a self-timer feature to Mirror-Up. Do I really have to carry a release cable with me ALL the time? Yes, I know there is a 30-second timeout for Mirror-Up. I just want to be able to adjust it to a shorter time.

Another - locking shooting banks. After I save my shooting banks, I want to "lock" them. What I am after is the ability to set the shooting banks back to the "locked" setting by performing a "two green buttons" reset.

Add the ability to read multiple saved shooting banks on a CF card. Right now, I have to use multiple CF cards to hold my saved banks. This is because the camera saves the file under a single name. I'm willing to rename them in the computer, just add the ability to list the files and let me select which one to load.

You get the idea...

This is from a film student..

PLEASE!!!

D400 w/
everything on D300 and:
-1080/24 and 30P video
-ability to change ISO and f/stop on my own

I really don't like using the 35mm DOF adapters on video cameras. they suck up light, and the chromatic aberration gets annoying.

The d90 works well in daylight, but sucks at night or indoors for video.

that's what i'm really hoping for!
