I get some degradation of IQ with the B+W, but with landscapes, it can often add to softening effect, you get with a long exposure

as for the B+W I know that there's a MRC version. As for hitec I do have one (with cokin p adapter) and it sucks for me - I see the degradation of IQ and strange color cast. so I guess I'll have to swallow the price tag of B+W.

I don't think there is a MRC version for filters above 8x (B&W 103).

I can't tell you anything about LCW. I only recently bought a Hitech Prostopper (10 stops) and a Cokin Z-holder. I am not quite happy with the results yet, but I am still experimenting.

One last addition to the B&W: I read on their site that the ND106 (64x) and ND110 (1000x) do have a higher transmission from 660 nm onwards that can lead to warmer colors in the image. If you want to remove that they recommend using a UV/IR cut filter 486 in front of the ND filter (not behind).

I use a B+W it has a green cast, but it is easly corrected with a grey card and WB adjustment

I bought a LCW, used it once. The higher stops generated patchy blue coloration of my shots, it's junk. I now use a Schneider Lee solution, it's fantastic and if you need additional filters, like grads, just slot them in.
