Bmxdad put this link to macro options in another thread that could help you if you haven't already seen it.

Just look at the different options available and ignore the math part or it will give you a headache like it did to heartyfisher :^)

Nikkor 18-105 mm f3.5 & 50 mm f1.4 AF-D in my Nikon d90.... i will ask you guys here, if this 2 lenses could i make this for MAcro? what gears/accessories do i need to make this 2 Lenses for Macro?
