I wouldn't see why not. The D4 has the 10-pin port. It is a very basic piece of hardware.

Keep us up to date with any reply from BlueSLR.

This is very nice. I have sent a message to BlueSLR asking if it works with the D4.

Someone asked about the BlueSLR and the D800 in another thread. Figured I would start a new one to cover this topic.

I have the BlueSLR for iPhone. This Nikon version connects to the 10-pin port. I purchased the one from BlueSLR, not a 3rd party device. Think I got it from Adorama.

iPhone 4S with the BlueSLR APP from the APPStore.

With the D800 everything seems to work fine.

1. GPS data is recorded for each file
2. AF button works
3. Shutter button works
4. Timer function. After setting the auto-focus time in settings on BlueSLR APP to "on" and 500msecs and setting the shutter time to "on" and one second, the time function works flawless for me.

Only complaint is that when the inactivity setting on your camera activates you lose Bluetooth connectivity from the BlueSLR dongle to the iPhone. Takes a few seconds to re-establish communications but has so never never failed to come back.

I suppose I could lengthen the timeout in the camera but it may adversely affect battery life. Will have to play with that.
