You might check the firmware of the camera and using a different upload program or just copy the files over by hand. Shoot Jpegs as well.

If that is the same, you may have a sensor or other internal component (controller board) going bad. At this point, the cost of a fix like that would be better put towards a new camera.

Try sending the photos to Nikon support. They are usually very good at getting back to you. Make sure to let them know that you would not be looking to make a warranty claim and ask if they have an estimate (low, mid & high) what it would cost or if it would be better to look at a purchase of a new camera. I have had very good luck with used items stating upfront that I have no expectation of warranty service and them getting me pricing for what the fix would cost. After a couple of pushing emails in response from me, they finely would break down and tell me a new purchase would be better. They also seem a bit more receptive to it as well.

Does the same thing happen to the RAW files?

Have you reset the camera?

My best,

I bought a used Nikon D80 from a photographer friend of mine 2 years ago, the camera was about 3 years old when I bought it. It has worked fine for me but over the past few months I continue to get more and more images that are messed up when I upload them through Bridge. At first I thought it was my memory card but I got a new one and it still happened, I thought maybe it was a problem when i uploaded them from the card to the computer, I tried a different camera and uploaded the same way I always do and nothing. I will add a link to the image uploaded straight from my card. Does anyone know what would be causing this? It seems to happen more the more I use my camera. Is it simply at the end of it's life?
