Niko - I'm not going back to this, neither to the fact that after our conversation You once again posted in the same thread. Topic is closed.

Adam I think the "returning" post stands out even more now b/c of what you "did"
I think you should delete the post entirely like the other or at least post why you don't want him to post it again. Just trying to help you out buddy and avoid any messy conflicts.

Let's try to keep the Peace.

Ok adamz fair enough. I just wanted to understand your reason. I think I've "seen" him before on lightstalkers. I think? His photos on his site were nice. I Liked the stuff from Iraq and Kosovo. I hope HE understands and contributes to the forum again.

I'd really like to welcome more "pros" to this forum. Not that I don't enjoy hanging out with all of you "non-pros" but we could all benefit from the knowledge of those who actually live off of their cameras.

It wasn't the same poster Niko. And once again, I don't mind for anyone sharing their knowledge and skills, moreover I don't mind to self advertise yourself, as its normal and very human. But if You do it, do it with some respect to others, do it the Tai way. Give and not only take. I understand Your point of view Niko, as I would probably be pissed a lot if somebody would delete my post. But please understand my point of view, there are threads for introduction and showing Your work, and I'm really trying to keep this forum nice and tidy. Anyway, what's done is done.
BTW: the site is really nice, so are the photos

So the same poster did something wrong previously on another thread?

I didn't see any ads on the link at all. He was just asking for feedback on his new photography website. That kind of thread is quite common on other photography sites Adamz. Yes it appeared he was a "pro" but still not sure I understand what he did wrong?

Maybe I'm just giving him too much benefit of the doubt. but still....

Sorry Adamz, I don't mean to second guess you... I just wouldn't like my thread to get erased if I was truly only asking for honest feedback on my new website.

Niko - I understand Your point, but there was some advertisement (maybe in some other way but still an advertisement) going on previously and the action was similar. Indeed there are no written rules that forbid this or that, but let's just follow simple rules to start a new topic only if there is no similar one started already on one hand and a topic that is beneficial to others on the other hand - and both of this, are common rules on all forums.

I didn't think it was an offensive thread. He just wanted feed back on his "new" website. He had participated in at least one thread a while back so it wasn't his first post. I don't really see any forum rules sticky forbidding this adamz. I think we should have a rules sticky posted before we start deleting people's threads for breaking the rules. How are you suppose to know what rule they were breaking?

Thanks for letting me know I'm not completely addicted to this place. I thought I was starting to imagine threads adamz ;^)

Niko - it must be the "Look at my website" thread, which I've deleted - and I haven't seen any posts on it when I've done it. I've decided to delete this thread, as there is already an introduce yourself thread and You can always link Your webpage to Your name, and this is not a free advertisement site, especially when a new person is posting, look at my page. If someone has some nice pictures to show, there's the photo-a-day thread. Sorry if there was Your post in this thread, we must have done the action (your posting vs my deleting) in pretty much the same time.

I just replied to someone's new thread and now it's gone !! It doesn't even show up in my replies section. Can original poster's delete threads once they've been started?

Did I just find a glitch in the Matrix? What's going on?
