Seems like the AUTO ISO screwing/compensating exposure to what the camera thinks is best on manual mode - no matter what your plan for the exposure is. I still can't figure out the logic behind the Nikon software/firmware's being allowed to mess with / correct my exposure when I am in MANUAL mode ( oh yes , I do occasionally forget to turn off my Auto ISO )

Hi,
Been using a friends D7000 as he has been having a problem with it that I can't seem to fix either.

There seems to be some sort of automatic exposure compensation setting on constantly that I just can't turn off at all. Even in manual mode no matter what settings I dial in I get the exact same exposure as it auto compensates every time. If I look at the info display on the screen I can actually see the EV comp scale going up and down as I pan round the room to different light sources etc. I even had it the studio wide open 2.8f with 1/30th speed ISO100 with my light on full and I got an underexposed photo, other set it to 13f with 1/250th speed ISO1600 and light down 3 stops and I got the exact same exposure. It's got me beaten any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers,

Rob
