Heve you tried recording at lower quality? Some cameras that have a time limit on the continuous recording, can record indefinitely at 720?

Yup. All compacts and DSLR cameras have a video record time-limit. It's totally common. Be glad the AW100 is 30mins. My D7000s stops at 20mins. Just hit the record button again. You can easily edit the sequences together in post.

I tried shooting video of my hockey game with my new aw100 but it stopped after 30 minutes. I need to record for one hour plus but have not been able to find any thing in setting or other wise to make this possible. It looks from some of the other Q@As that this may not be possible without hitting the record button again, this will not work in my case. Any help please.
