I also purchased the Blue Crane D7000 apps. I'm still going through them. They are light years better than the QuickPro app (not even in the same universe!).

The Blue Crane apps actually demonstrate the use of features and discuss the various pros and cons of using a given feature in a given situation. This is what I would have also expected from the QuickPro app, given its description on the iTunes App Store, but it monumentally failed to deliver.

Bottom line: If you are new to the D7000 and want a decent overview of it, and how to really best apply the features, I'd recommend the Blue Crane apps.

@JK1231... Anything that implies "good", "advanced", "pro" along with the word "quick" in the name about training, is most likely a rip off.

IMHO especially "Quick" and "Pro" fall into the category of being an oxymoron unless you already have more talent than 99.999% of everyone else out there, in which you can produce good results, every time, probably without the benefit of instruction. I most certainly don't fall into this group of very talented people and for me (as for most of us), it takes ages and lots of practice to get to a decent level of ability and acquire the experience to work fast and professionally in all conditions using all the features of an advanced camera. There are no short cuts. Sorry.

There is a lot that might fall into the bracket of "advanced features". What were you interested in learning about? Perhaps someone here has a good hint or two for you?

I've learned that books, apps, and videos like that are made for people who bought a camera like this and find themselves technologically overwhelmed. You could have put that $30 toward some new camera gear!

I thought this would be a good video to pick up a few hints and tricks for using the advanced features of the D7000. However, I could not have been further off in my expectations.

This iPad/iPhone App is basically a guy standing there, reciting the manual in his own words, and showing the button pushes that are necessary to make a setting. That's it. That's all there is, with minor exception.

I could learn more by reading the manual than I could by watching this video. A total waste of time and a complete rip-off of $30. I wish I could get my money back!!

This is truly the worst app I have ever purchased! Avoid it like the plague.
