Just wondering, so if it's a D300 like everyone seems to agree on, why does it say "it's a D200" in the thread subject?

There is an eyepiece... it is just in the portrait position.

That's right - the 300 has the battery door lever as well! I couldn't reconcile that screen with the 200.

It is a D300 (not S) the Mdb-200 doesnt have a 4-way panel on it. Also both the D300 and D200 have the same 4 way point selector (the D300s has a newer one). The memory card door lever is a dead giveaway as the D200 has a totally different lever for it.

That's a D200 with battery grip and on a monopod, no? It's clearly a x00 body, has the lever for the memory card door, and the four-position AF style switch of the 200. The eyepiece appears to be there - the image is clipped to black, but the prism is clearly there...

They had 24 photogs shooting this type of camera at a race I was at this weekend. My question is what camera is it? I'm just curious, never saw anything like that before. There's no eye piece, strictly rear viewing.

I'm not talking about the mono pod, just the camera.
