My day job involves both programming and design work, both of which I find are fairly common practices among photographers. I also enjoy baking, perhaps I'll take some photos and share next time I make something photo-worthy.

Apart from photography, I like (attempting) to learn other languages, which is a bit of an odd hobby, especially for someone who is partially deaf.
Also, walking, climbing, programming web based applications for the sheer bedevilment of it (even though half never get to see the light of day), and if chance would be a fine thing, spending the day laying around in bed!

work in IT, musician in a couple bands (bassist and every now and then drummer) plus journalism and promotion, footballer (soccer), cycle-touring enthusiast who's been trying to get his friends involved too, we've actually started up a bike-gang!

lots of hobbies; always find myself getting bored and trying new things, like lately i've tried my hand at baking bread from scratch. so good!

G'day everybody. I am curious. Clearly, everyone here is into Nikon camera gear. That's not rocket science. But what else are you into? What are your other interests, hobbies, pass-times, obsessions, etc. - What rings your bells, so to speak? (keep it clean, please) Or is it only Nikon that makes us a community? What are you doing when you don't have your hands on a camera?

I'll make a start. I'm into cycling: I'm an ex-mountain bike racer who is discovering the meditative world of road cycling, as so many over 40s seem to do. I'm into my 3 boys and my wife and am trying hard to leave the planet in better shape than I found it. Music is also an interest and anyone watching me would say that I am a gadget freak. But they are not into gadgets and wouldn't understand, anyway.

How about you folks? What grabs you by the pooh pooh, as Cheech and Chong would say?
