A repair shop might have one, or you could make one out of a hard piece of rubber or you could just ignore it which is what I would probably do.

Could I ask Nikon to send me a new one and superglue it on? What about a camera shop? Thanks for your help.

What JorPet said....I just find it hard to believe it came off with a fall while the camera was inside of a backpack. I picked at mine with my fingernail and it's well glued in there.

You are just missing the little rubber stop that goes in the groove. It cushions the door from hitting the body when opened. Shouldn't bean issue.

If you're referring to the bit I think you're referring to (a rectangular rubber thingy that sits in the groove between the body and the door that covers the SD slots), it's supposed to be there. At any rate, mine's got the same thing, so if it doesn't belong there, it's a heck of a joke on both of us. :)

Well, if the slot is the same as on the D300s, then there used to be a small rubbery peace in that indendtation...

Hi, Im on vacation and my camera fell in my backpack (not a big fall). Everything seemed fine, but after shooting some more, I realized the plastic screen protector that came with the camera fell off and chipped a bit. Later I realized there was an indentation in the middle of the crease of the sd card slot. I can't remember if it was like that before. I found a picture of the d7000 online, but I can't tell if it is an indentation or a little plastic piece.

Here is a pic of what I'm talking about. http://db.tt/EzOdm41

Thanks
