I would image the D400 would take CF cards because the D300 takes CF cards right? Logic would suggest the refresh would retain the same memory slot holder. By the way, nikon rumors reports that the D400 might have a 24MP sensor can you imagine? Wow..

Just wait a few months. There will be other sales. My guess is the D400 would use SD cards not CF cards but that is only a guess.

I could care less how much the camera costs. But when you are looking at buying 4 16GB Sandisk cards at about $95.00 each that would cost about $400. WIth the sale going on I'd only pay $240. That extra money could almost buy a NIkon 50mm 1.8. Nothing wrong with saving money unless you like throwing it away.

So it's more than a few dollars. And between just giving B&H those extra $160 or me getting another softbox, or camera bag I'd rather get my money's worth.

$1500 for a D7000 with 18-105 mm so that whoud put the D400 around 2K

probally checking ebay and craigslist for a deal on a 18-55mm to go with it.

I'm planning on waiting to order the Nikon D400, but there is a special going on at B&H for SanDisk compact flash cards.

Is it safe to assume that since the D400 would be considered a semi-pro camera that Nikon would keep using compact flash cards? Or would they switch to using SDHC?

Just trying to decided whether or not to take advantage of that sale going on.
