Seems this is happening again. I login and the page still displays the username/password fields as if I did not login. Go to a thread and maybe it will let me post, maybe not. I am using Chrome at the moment but FireFox has the same issue. Been happening to me constantly ever since I joined. (A few days ago). :-)

I was just logged out this morning when I first accessed the forum (FF6 using DSL) and just logged in. How long does a 'regular' login last before it expires?

Now the main index list of messages still shows me logged *out* but going into this thread again shows me logged in and I can add/edit this comment.

Had to log in on the main index listing and it now seems to 'stick'. Wonder if it is too delayed writing a cookie or something?

Here are the basics for me..

Work is on a LAN, I can only use IE 7 there, never had a problem

Home is on a wireless network were I have a problem, I use a Cradlepoint MBR1200 router.
Home is also where I had a problem yesterday with FF5 and updated to FF6 and the problem seemed to be minimized. Today I tried to log in with FF6 and no banana. I am on the same computer that I tried with FF6, I opened IE 7 and so far no problems. I did not change any network settings.

Wired router at home and a T3 line for me at work. Same result for both.

The problem isn't Fire Fox. Out of curiosity are you guys all on a wireless router? What type/brand?

Well my experience at this moment is I am logged in on certain topics like this one and the Ritz Deceptive practice deal. But I am not logged in on the home page, August Photo a day, and the topic "why people don't want a higher MP camera?"

I am a bit lost but running FF5, maybe I should update???

Edit..did an update to FF6 and it works much better but every so often it will show me logged off

Nevermind, you are right. It logs me in, in a thread, but then when I go back to the main forum page it says I am logged out again. It is partially fixed I guess :)

No the problem is still there. I couldn't log in at all this morning. Now I have to refresh every page twice to see the most recent post and to stay logged in. Very frustrating. I'm on FF6 too by the way but I also get the problem on my Mac.

How come I can comment on this thread but on every other one it says I need to login? Weird.

Just upgraded to firefox 6.0 and the issue is gone. No longer have to reload everything to get logged in.

UPDATE #1: After posting that comment, it finally showed me as logged in (username in yellow, and the fields to enter user name and password now gone). Something is broken in there....

I was having difficulties with FF (didn't log me in at all), I deleted the cookies and it logs me in now. It doesn't show that I'm logged in (the login usernam and password fields are visible), but technically I'm logged in and can exercise all my rights.

When I tried this on Chrome, it worked and showed also that I was logged in.

Aye same here. It seems like nothing reloads after try to log in. Even when I go back to the main forum after a post is still shows me not logged in. If I refresh them I am logged in again.

Yes, I still need to refresh to log in correctly.

Sometimes whrn I go to the main page (http://nikonrumors.com/forum/), I get the remember me problem.

But when I go into a topic (without doing any thing with the login line), the new page remembers me:

I guess this may happen if you have more than one page in nikonrumors openend in the same browser.

Had to refresh after hitting login with firefox. Came up the first time as me being logged in. The other day it wouldn't let me in at all.

Main forum page has a log in and password box, and a log in button. If I go to view a message, it displays me as being logged in.... Can't remember if that is normal for this version of the software or not...

Chrome is good.

Still have to refresh the page after each login attempt. FF5.

Yeah I just noticed the same thing. Guess it's back again. Anyone else?

I still have some trouble logging in, it takes me a couple tries.

Firefox 5 and 4.

Things should be back to normal now.
