Also - at the end of "The Art Begins" segment - you zoom in on a passing bicycler for no apparent reason - I would cut that out

Again at the end of another set of time lapse (1:27 mark) - you pause and zoom on a shot that is obstructed by the crowds

I think its cool to include the passing crowds to get the sense of atmosphere, but I would try to begin and end all the segments with photos that highlight the subject

Now that's a good idea. I too was very impressed with that pan, and was wondering how you got the movement so smooth. Very clever.

I appreciate everyones thoughts and input.

The dolly shots were with the camera placed on a skateboard, borrowed from a kid who was standing on the edge of the art watching Jennifer work.

I really liked the pans in the beginning - very well done

I thought the time lapse where the crowd got in the way were annoying visually (as opposed to the ones where you had a clear shot which were great)

At times felt a bit to jumpy for me but overall a very watchable piece - good work

Just watched it, I thought it was really good. My "personal" certainly not professional comments would be:

1) Is it just me or does it look a bit under exposed (dark)? I know you were shooting in full sunlight and that can obviously be a bugger, but the general feel seemed subdued to me.

2) The music was "OK". I actually like Enigma, but not sure it was the best choice for the video content, I think I would have used something more upbeat? It looked a really fun day, the music was a bit too 'serious' in my opinion. A tune from Disney maybe?

3) I found some of the shots of what was going on around the event distracted from the work. (Superman on stilts, girl in push chair). The funny shots like the chalky bum and saucers of coloured chalk were all part of the (my perceived) purpose of the video.

4) Just a thought, but it may have been nice to have had some way of telling how much time was passing while we were watching (I think a time clock in the corner of the video would be way too clinical, but a snap shot of the town clock every now and again, or even the shadows cast by the sun throughout the day would have helped to give a feeling of "wow she was at it a long time". Just my 2c worth, I'm interested to see what others thought :-) Good job WaterEngineer!

This is my latest effort from Denver two weekends ago. The time lapse stills were taken with a D90 and 18-105 The video was taken with a D7000 and 18-105 and Tokina 12-24 - shot in manual. RODE external shotgun mic.

Please C&C. I see a couple of things but others eyes and thoughts are appreciated.

I stripped references, captions and credits from the video, so a little of story is lost during the middle of the video. It did this trying to make it forum friendly.

Again, please C&C. I want to do better.
