I'm getting a lot of what alphanikonrex originally posted. the freshness appears as -1 years! I keep seeing it, not just once. Very trippy when it happens

I think the forum has gone totally crazy. Checkout the "Ruh Roh Raggy" thread. It's turned into a Scooby-Doo versus Monty Python debate! Admin's going to be pissed when he get's back from vacation and see's what we've done to the place :)

Seriously though sometimes it does feel like a year goes by before anyone post anything. Well except the Photo-A-Day. That's always getting updated.

This was probably something to do with a systems update on the server, software update on the forum or server maintenance at the datacentre. The 'freshness' indicator has no bearing on what the client's computer time/date signature is, as it is (the date/time of the last post in that thread) passed from the database behind the forum software, through the date/time stamp on the server and then compiled and sent to the user's browser.

Generally these things aren't seen, but when they do happen, people can get a little panicked that something has gone wrong; but generally there is nothing to worry about.

I could dive in to this more, but even though I enjoy this stuff, I don't want to bore anyone!

Alphanikonrex, My computer shows "freshness", just not the weird times that yours shows. Oh, I know a good computer psychologist that may be able to help your computer through this emotional crisis.

It couldn't be that—not everything showed as -1 years. One of them in the screenshot showed properly, 4 weeks, and so did every other topic below the screenshot. I only photographed the portion that had the error.

Check your computer's date\time\year is set properly. My guess is that you have it set to some time in the past (perhaps you are using trial software that has expired?).

The freshness listings appear for me, but they look correct, no anomalies like that.
