My other hobby is mountain biking, I always take a camera with me when I'm riding.

On the trails that I know well and are not extreme, I take my D70s with its kit lens (18-70), but when the trail is more than a regular cross-country trail, I take a small point-and-shot camera

I use a simple Camelbak Cross 20 Hydration backpack arge enough to carry my D70s. (Although it may not protect the camera as required)

I wish to find a good bag that will serve for both purposes (Like Kata bags + some hydration system for Mountain Biking.)

I have a HD Ultra Classic. I prefer to put my sling style bag in the tour pack but I've strapped it to the luggage rack on top of the tour pack before. When I put it on the luggage rack, I put the rain cover of the bag in place. I usually strap my traveling tripod to the luggage rack.

When on long trips, it's really a where ever it fits type situation. I usually can't keep it all in one place. My wife doesn't like to sacrifice clothing space for photo gear. She's silly that way.

I use an electric mountain bike for getting round town

Depending on the job, I ether use a Pro Trekker 600 AW, which on short trips goes on my back, or on longer trips an adapted pannier rack

If I am doing something like outdoor events, I use I Spider Holster with a Holster Belt and two Think Tank lens changers. In addition to the Holster, I also use a black rapid, the latter set up, allows me to to get around very quickly and I can start shooting immediately on arrival. The Spider stops the camera "bouncing around" when cycling

I carry my kit in the tank bag of my BMW B1150RT. It is ideally located for minimum shock and vibration there. I'd never put it over the rear wheel in a top box. Many bikes have really hard suspension especially crotch rockets but I run mine nice and soft. When cycling it goes in my Lowepro Trekker back-pack.

I have a motorcycle and a road bike. I'm the type of person that brings my DSLR everywhere I go even if I don't think I might be shooting.

I carry my D90, sb-900, and either 24-70 2.8 or 50 1.4 in my Velocity 7x. In my motorcycle I will always bring the 24-70 but on my road bike I ocasionally bring the 24-70 because on a road bike I have more body movement and I'm afraid that all the shaking, and swinging might damage the mount on my camera and lens. When on my road bike and motorcycle I will always have the waist strapped pretty tight to prevent swinging and vibrations.

I do mountain biking and use waterproof point and shoot for biking.
I cannot tell you the name of the camera as I would likely get banned for six months from this forum.

My mountain biking is too dangerous and slr's heavy for biking, also getting caught in the rain here in tropics is fantastic while riding.

should Nikon produce a waterproof point and shoot, I would jump on that bandwagon, but for now.........

Some of you are into photography and cycles (motor and bi). Do youu usually wag around your photo gear while riding? How do you carry your gear? I usually carry a d300 with an 18-200 in a lower toploader in a givi top case. Never had any problems with vibration.
