Lots of stuff! --
No DSLR at the Fuji stand. - But the 3d camera and display was interesting. Also the 3d prints were fun! May bring back photo albums again! -- didnt have much time .. rushed through the stalls.. oh well..

nau- PMA Australia is the largest photographic show in the southern hemisphere. All the big guns are there. Nikon was the biggest and best IMO. There was a interactive platform stage with a D3 with 400mm, a D3 with 600mm and a D300 with a 200-400 zoom. It was great to get hands on and use these very expensive lenses. These lenses are superb and real joy to play with. Nikon also had a very low-light room and was showing off ISO 6400+ shooting.

There was many big screen demonstations from Nikon, Apple, Adobe, Nik soft, Kodak - plus probably others I didn't see.

I had a good look at the new large Lowepro sling bag about to be released. It's very impressive and practical.

Printing demos were everywhere. I am blown away how good instant printing kiosks are getting (from Kodak).

The quality of the vendor displays we very good and different. They all had there own unique way of presenting their product.

I am glad I bolted on some Sigma zoom lenses on my D700 - because the exposure meter doesn't work with their lenese. I tried the 70-200mm and 120-400mm. WOW! The guy had no answer to why?! I am glad I got to test lenses.

4 hours was not enough time to see everything - I might go back today!

u didnt expect d300x or something to be released on Australian show... but yeh lame that there was nothing to talk about ... or was there? :)

I think we should have learned by now, Nikon does not release anything new on general shows anymore, we must wait for Nikon private presentation.

Friend went today... said nothing interesting there .. :-( besides the new olympus pen. Oh well .. guess we have to wait a bit longer...

I live in Sydney and will be there this Saturday. I'm not expecting to see anything drool worthy - just nice to see the vendor products and chat with reps face-to-face.

Ok off to buy some wire cutters today ... Got to get a bag big enough to fit all those stuff in as well!!

I will try to do a quick update if possible.. I even looked into setting up a twitter page and twitpic from my mobile phone!! but alas my phone pictures are crap. You guys will have to settle for fairly late updates as I am meeting up with some local forum friends for dinner and street photography after.. sorry...

I am sure there must be others who will update our NRAdmin.

I'm not greedy when it comes to gifts heartyfisher. You don't have to worry about getting me any lenses like adamz or mb! But if you're sneaking in a bolt cutter then you could wrap up a D3x body in the Nikon T-shirt you get me! :^)

I would personally love 80-400 AF-S VR and would be very disappointed if I don’t get one, please.

hearty - nikkor 300 2.8 vr would be nice, just practice running before You grab it :p

but seriously some info would be nice

I am going to PMA in Sydney next week! Hope Nikon announces some nice new toys then!
