on this forum, if nikodoby thinks that your post is too similar to another one, or a troll post, he will close your post. it doesnt happen on all forums, but he has the right to do whatever he wants.

I WISH I could do whatever I wanted around here! But believe it or not, I'm just enforcing the forum rules.

For example Forum Rule #2 states, in part, "Try to keep your comments with the discussed topic and avoid discussing other forum members."

your camera is 16MP that is a fixed number of pixels on your sensor. it does not change.

the size of you file changes depending on the diversity of the p (pixels) if there is a wide variety of different colours and tones your file will be bigger. if many pixels in your image are the same, your file will be smaller B (bytes, or Mb million bytes).

a troll is someone who goes on forums and says things deliberately to get a negative reaction. you havent done this, but you would be surprised how many people have nothing bettter to do.

on this forum, if nikodoby thinks that your post is too similar to another one, or a troll post, he will close your post. it doesnt happen on all forums, but he has the right to do whatever he wants.

Sorry Damian, but it was very hard to believe you were in possession of a "Frankenstein" D7000 with more megapixels (MP)then anyone else. Being that it was your first post to the forum I just had to be sure you weren't trying to stir things up which is what "trolls" do.

Troll definition: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Troll_%28Internet%29

Welcome to the forum.

Apologies....i'm new to this. I've never even been on a forum before, so excuse my ignorance.
I just wanted to find out has this happened with other d700 users ?
As for your question....i'm just going off what the camera properties and image info tell me.
By the way, why would you close my question and what is "troll post"....
Thank you

Just wondering if anyone has heard of this before and what the situation might be.

My first guess was....... my D7000 may have had a romantic evening with and been impregnated by, a D3x. ( in other words, i have no eye deers ! )

The camera capture images normally in JPEG and RAW + JPEG.
In RAW at ISO 100 though, which is what i like to use, it captures images, up to a maximum (so far), of 24.3 MP.

Everything else with the camera seems to be operating normally.
I'm quite impressed with it, but wondering if i may have purchased,
'NIKONS FRANKENSTEIN'.

THANK YOU FOR ANY IDEAS......
