My backyard this past weekend although it is warming up noticeably now! :) I think this will melt quite fast and might be the last snow we see.

Yes, that was the big snow storm NYC got right around Christmas.

I think we got a foot, a foot and half maybe.

These photos were from the winter storm last year.

All were taken with a D40 and a 35mm 1.8.

Oh i should add, that after taking my photographs, i broke three toes after i fell. I should post those too. Im not a fan of this ice.

Oh well... As I am now a 9 year Texan (Ye Haw), I have lost the ability to drive in bad weather, and as there was nothing quite as good visually around my house as several others have posted, this is about the best I have got...

Hey now, I've got one of those fire pit things too. $30 on clearance from Home Depot!

We use ours for tailgates at my local university football games during November. We get a little crowd gathering to keep warm, and that's good for those candid portraits ... sometimes you just have to be a little bit sneaky!

More ice here...I wanted to take some pictures, but I got banned from going outside after I slipped on the ice and sprained my ankle :(
I guess good thing I didn't have my camera in hand when I slipped.

We got mostly ice. Here is a pic of one of the plants covered in it.

We just had a SUV go off a bridge here where they fell 120 ft. into the frozen river below, because of road conditions. The TV station below is covering the rescue from the air live. They'll have the film footage on their site later this morning. It's incredible to see.

Actually no its 6,000 feet up on the island of Jeju called Halla mountain. Its the highest peak in South Korea, and I went there with my brother with full gear and crampons for our boots. Unfortunately I didn't get a lot of shots because it was -22 degrees up there with winds forceful enough to blow you right off the side! I managed about 24 decent shots though :)

We got some snow but far less than was forecast. I'd like to say I'm disappointed, but really, I'd rather be in Sydney.

its nice see some cool snow. were were in 50 degrees Celsius!! here in Sydney a few days ago. its cooled down a bit now only about 40 now.
