Thanks for that info. D76, ay? Who'd a thought? That anti-halation backing sounds like a pain to effectively remove. I'll have to see if I can contact individuals who have tried this process and get their take on it and see some results. It's not entirely clear to me if they're trying to develop the film as a standard neg or trying to make a B&W positive, it seems like they're shooting for a neg (as I would be).

I discovered a series of Kodachrome rolls a while back which I shot back in the late 70s and never processed. Before the present Kodachrome fiasco, I sent a few rolls out rolls out for processing in unmounted strips back in the 90s sometime, and I essentially got back a series of overexposed strips.

I'm not sure if this was a by-product of some of these rolls hanging around out of light-tight plastic containers throughout the 70s and 80s (not all were), or if this is some kind of chemical reaction to developing the stuff 20+ years later.

I stored most of the rolls (apparently sometime back in the 80s or 90s) in a 50-sheet 8x10 Ektachrome sheet box (which put them in a light-tight environment), and still have some rolls undeveloped.

So here's the deal. At this point the only effective way of hoping to get images out of these rolls is to develop them as B&W negs. Does anyone have any idea of how to go about this?

Somehow or other I see Rodinal involved (G), but what's the routine? Are there any established processes for developing Kodachrome (mostly ASA 25) as B&W negs?

If anyone has info on this, let me know. Thanks.
