Canon 7D(EF-S 15-85 IS USM) - Nikon D300s(AF-S 16-85mm G ED VR)
The Canon has more noise in low ISO rates but in higher ISO rates is better than the d300s. (incorrect the high ISO's are equivalent (if not better) in the d300s in many situations but the results Ive had are different than what you have)

The Canon USM lens are faster than the Nikon AF-S series. (also wrong, it is more dependent on weather you are using a newer or older lens in either system, until the mid 2000's canon lenses were faster but now they both are identical, it is more dependent on what lenses you test.

The D300s colors are closer to the reality, the Canon is a little bit reddish.
(that is somewhat true indoors but outside not so much)

Which AF system is better? I mean speed and accuracy, low light performance?
(both are about equivalent but canons is a little more accurate and fast using crappy lenses than nikon. Nikon however is more accurate in low light)

The Canon AF sensor sensitivity in the center are from F2.8 and the others F5.6. In the nikon system are all from F2.8? (dunno)

OK, the Nikon has more AF points.. and the Nikon can make 3D tracking. Canon?
As I heard if you use auto AF you can also use the manual focus ring. Is it true? In the Nikon system is it possible to manualy corrigate the AF in auto mode or it kills the AF motor? (you can absolutely override Af in almost all of the newer nikkor lenses with MF just make sure your lens is set at af/m, it won't damage the lens in the slightest)

The Nikon TTL produces more neutral exposures w/ flash?
(yesish all strobes fire at 5560 k so that is more dependent on your camera settings)

BTW you took these in Mel's didn't you?

Hi,

could someone give positive and negative feelings with the following cameras?
Canon 7D(EF-S 15-85 IS USM) - Nikon D300s(AF-S 16-85mm G ED VR)

I have noteced one interesting thing. I have compared the nef to jpg and there are serious difference between them.
http://picasaweb.google.com/109752382403285978265/D7000JpgVsNefJpg#
The jpg has very much light and less red. The nef->jpg is closer to the reality.
Why is it, some settings mistake?

The one time I shot side by side with one, my D90 (ISO 400) destroyed the 7D (ISO 640) for noise. It was clean vs. barely usable. Is this a known issue with this camera, or was this a fluke? I've looked at many other bird photographs and the 7D seems to be noisier than most on a regular basis.

Color comparison.

It looks like to me the Canon 7D images are closer to the reality and a bit darker.
The D7000 colors look like a bit better than the reality. The 7D reds are better.
The Canon focuses a little faster.
Witch AF system are "better"? Any practice with AF?

update
ISO 1600 and 6400

Yes for the class it is trying to compete in the 7D is so overrated on a few features that only the few who test it realize that it's low light capability is crap even compared to the other 2 canons that share the same sensor. Ive shot with the 7D and my D90 gives more satisfactory results at ISO's over 800ish. In fact the 7D's images often turn to complete mush over ISO 800...

Hi,

I have compared the Nikon vs Canon at some ISO settings. Some pictures with low ISO rate are not sharp due to the movement but you can compare the colors. The 550D and D7000 almost have same colors but the 7D are little "dark".
The lens are Nikon 16-85 DX VR and Canon EF-S 18-135 IS USM.
I will upload the images :)

and the photos
