this is something i would try for sure, if the price is right. : )

the price is right around $10.000 give and take a few, so don't crash it or try to spy on Niko and risk getting it shot down

Don't touch my junk Kyoshi!

The problem isn't learning to fly it. It's being able to find a place to fly it. There are strict laws and restrictions on such remote aircraft. The fact that they don't include the price on their website makes it obvious that this is an expensive "toy" with little practical use.

Then the TSA would start searching houses :P

I don't see this as being more than a mere gizmo as there is no technical or compositional freedom in the actual photography. It would be nice if someone made a dslr copter rig that was both inexpensive (less than an underwater housing like $500-$700) and needed less training to fly... Sadly any helicopter is hard to fly so that wont be possible in the near future...

You can get auto pilot type things for helicopters that makes it almost imposible to crash unless you do it on purpose.

This thing is neat, I wonder what the price on it is.

It says it's for use by "experts of remote flying only". I doubt something like that would even be legal to fly in the US. The FAA wouldn't want this thing taking out an aircraft.

This reminded me a bit of the "P&S in space" photos that were all over the net a couple of months back. This thing can't be cheap, but it looks like it'd be a lot of fun...
