will the rokinon(samyang/bower/vivitar/polar) 85mm 1.4 ( non cpu ) meter on d7000 in Aperture priority mode ?

You must physically move the aperture ring of the lens when using non-CPU lenses, just as you would on a D300s, D700 or D3s.

I've gone through every menu, and read the manual.

I was under the assumption I would be able to control the iris of manual lenses w/ the dial. Am I mistaken?

I'm using a 50 1.2 ai-s.
