Ive had mine for 10 months now. Didnt bother much with the manuel. I knew just between Bulb 30sec-1/8000th of a second. But since you said that there is a inbuilt interval timer. I was just curious if you knew somthign else.

You can only set the shutter speed of the camera, ie between 30secs and 1/8000th.
I always keep my manual in my bag just incase, but I've only had my D3 for a few months...it's a bloody thick manual too lol.

You don't need a remote smarterchild, look at page 213 of your manual...the D3 has inbuilt interval timer shooting.

Hey, Ive been thinking about geting a remote for my D3. I came across the weekly news on the blog here and saw this pearstone remote
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/690421-REG/Pearstone_RC_N1_RC_N1_ShutterBoss_Remote_Switch.html

I am confused but im wondering how flexible the remote is. Im wanting to be able to make stop motion videos that have automatic intivels of it taking a photo for hours. Maybe 1 photo a second or every 5 seconds and so forth. And the ablity to set the exposure for shots above 30 seconds at night. 30secs- 2-5 hours maybe?

Its my first pro remote and was curious if this remote does what im wanting it to do

any help would be appreciated!
