It should be noted that this was not originally a leica lens. It was a custom-made flight simulator projector lens.

It was subsequently dismantled and rebuilt with a custom designed and made enclosure.

Really amazing project.

I don't know I think its best to leave Leica Optics to the Germans, even for fixing or maintenance. Interesting story though. This guy must be quite talented and they mentioned his job and training, which were impressive.
